Innovation, digital transformation, smart cities and sustainability were the central themes of the Innovation Day 2021, the event organized on 5 July by Acea at the Salone delle Fontane in Rome, with the participation of several Italian and international institutions and companies delegates.
Brochesia was present during the day in the exhibition space with its partner Google Cloud, with which it presented a software solution – integrated in the Glass Enterprise Edition 2, the Smart Glasses produced by Google – capable of detecting objects and oproviding targeted instructions in real time. For the visitors, it was possible to take part in a practical demonstration wearing Smart Glasses: looking at an object – immediately identified by the glasses through the Google Cloud object detection algorithms, with which the Brochesia software is integrated – they were guided in the execution of a series of operations described by video, textual instructions and video call in real time with a remote operator, also receiving indications in Augmented Reality directly on the Glass display.
The event represented an opportunity to start talking again, together with the CEOs of the main hi-tech companies, about how new technologies and digital are redesigning Italian entrepreneurship and how the adoption of innovative and sustainable models contributes significantly to the economic and social growth of the country. The event, opened by the institutional greetings of the mayor of Rome Virginia Raggi and moderated by the journalist Riccardo Luna, also had Fabio Fregi, Google Cloud Italy Country Manager, among the speakers.
