On June 28 we took part in the event “RealWear: intelligent assisted reality” held at the headquarters of Confindustria Cuneo and organized by our partners at Fastbrain Engineering, as part of the cycle of meetings “Solutions for the digital transition and Industry 4.0”.
By exploiting the potential of smart glasses, in this case of the RealWear Navigator 500 model, we showed the opportunities offered by our B View and B Step solutions to simplify collaboration and operational activities, analyzing possible use cases for Industry 4.0 .
From installation to maintenance, from inspections to quality control, from technical support in the mechanical field to that in the medical field, Augmented Reality opens up a range of possibilities for the future for more sustainable and balanced production and working environment.
Together with Fastbrain we showed how RealWear smart glasses and our B View solution work to facilitate remote collaboration. B View allows a field operator to share their point of view with a remote expert, who can guide them during the activities, through numerous Augmented Reality functions, sharing information with them in real time, anchoring it in space and always allowing the technician in the field to have their hands free to operate in complete safety.
The integration of B View with smart glasses has now become one of the new frontiers for collaboration at work level, allowing companies to save considerably in terms of costs and operating times and also in CO2 emissions linked to travel.
We then continued the analysis of the use cases showing our B Step solution, designed to create and execute digital workflows capable of simplifying operations, also drawing up detailed reports at the end of each completed process. An innovative solution that uses Augmented Reality and smart glasses to provide a useful tool both for training new resources and for controlling operations.
Several companies also attended the event to demonstrate how these technologies are changing the way they operate.
At the end of the meeting, we welcomed the appreciated words of Franco Deregibus, Confindustria Cuneo Innovation Technical Coordinator, who underlined how these solutions represent “an important aid for traditional work tasks, integrated by cutting-edge technological support”.
