«The increase of chronic skin lesions and the tendency to de-hospitalization to reduce the health costs are leading to an increasingly domestic treatments, where the intervention of a multidisciplinary team formed by a general practitioner and medical specialists/nurses becomes essential. The technological innovation and the possibility of using advanced techniques such as telemedicine allows an increasing number of patients to heal without resorting to hospitalization».
Italian Skin Ulcers Association
On June first, in Rome, the Italian Skin Ulcers Assosiation used Brochesia for a series of conferences on telemedicine and home treatment of patients with chronic skin lesions.
The lessons focused on the importance of technological innovation for the medical sector and B Med, the software solution specifically developed for the Healthcare, was among the protagonists of the day. B Med has been choosen for two reasons: on the one hand as a tool for remote teaching; on the other hand it has shown to professionals the possibilities offered by teleassistance and telemedicine in Augmented Reality (AR).
It has been discussed how the new technological tools provide a positive contribution to both health institutions and patients. B Med has been evalueted both as a tecnology economically sustainable for treatments that have high hospitalization costs and as a tool for remote diagnostic and for the drafting of clinical documentation. The solution has been also well considered for the intuitive ways that offers to professional to coordinate their work keeping track of all the interventions. Furthermore, as a tool of telemedicine, the great support it offers to the continuous and immediate communication between doctors, patients and their families has been underlined; the constant and active presence of the family during the domestic therapeutic treatment, in fact, offers many and great benefits to the patients and their caregivers.
B Med, Smart Glasses and Augmented Reality proved to be powerful allies of Healthcare.
