A few weeks ago, we shared how IIS Anagni has been integrating augmented reality into its teaching methods through Pic+ AR, under the coordination of Professor Alessandra Trapani, engaging students in innovative projects. These days, Pic+ AR is also taking center stage in an artistic event: the “TR3” exhibition at Palazzo Bacchetti in Anagni (FR), a project that demonstrates how art and augmented reality can harmoniously interact, creating new forms of cultural engagement.

The augmented reality exhibition, open until April 15, showcases the works of three contemporary artists: Fabio Landolfi, UgoOne, and Tre Ics. The exhibition weaves together street art, painting, and installations, enhanced by a digital experience that allows visitors to delve into the details of the artworks thanks to Pic+ AR. By using their smartphones or tablets, visitors can scan the artworks to access multimedia content, in-depth analyses, and digital narratives.

This initiative not only enriches the artworks on display but also serves as a concrete example of active citizenship, thanks to the contribution of IIS Anagni students, who collaborated in the creation of the digital content.

During the inauguration on March 15, in addition to the three artists and Anagni’s Cultural Affairs Councilor, Dr. Carlo Marino, the event welcomed IIS Anagni’s Principal, Professor Adriano Gioè, and Professor Martina Bocconi, who curated the collective exhibition. Numerous visitors had the chance to experience the augmented reality exhibition firsthand, exploring the artworks through their own smartphones or tablets provided at the event.

Thanks to the experiences created by the students with Pic+ AR, the artists’ works came to life, offering an immersive look at the integration of art and technology. The following video captures these moments:
Once again, augmented reality proves to be a valuable tool for making cultural experiences more inclusive and engaging, opening new possibilities for education and artistic dissemination.
If you’re near Anagni, don’t miss the chance to visit the “TR3” augmented reality exhibition until April 15 and discover an innovative way to experience art. From May, the exhibition will move to Villa Comunale in Frosinone, in an expanded version with new experiences created using Pic+ AR.
